(Editor's Note: WisSports.net basketball writer Mark Miller is using the extra time available due to COVID-19 to research the high school basketball history of some of Wisconsin's larger cities. His All-Time Best series will run on WisSports.net during the next few months).

Oshkosh North graduate Tyrese Haliburton is about to elevate himself above all others who have played high school basketball in Oshkosh.

In a city rich with stellar players, coaches and teams, Haliburton is the only player in city history to win a state championship, excel at the high-major collegiate level with Iowa State, and, in all likelihood, play in the National Basketball Association.

Haliburton is expected to be a lottery selection in the 2020 NBA Draft and has the size, length, skill and mindset to make it big on basketball's biggest stage.

Along with Haliburton, Oshkosh North's Frank Seckar and Oshkosh Lourdes' Todd Meier were courted by collegiate programs across the country with Seckar excelling at Vanderbilt and Meier battling constant knee issues while playing at Indiana on the Hoosers' 1987 national-title team.

Nine of the 10 players named to the WisSports.net All-Time First and Second teams earned first-team all-state laurels, making Oshkosh one of the state's top hotbeds of prep hoops over the years.
